Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Texas is seeking an Onboarding Supervisor to manage the onboarding experience for new hires from day one through 60 days, ensuring safety, training completion, and timely qualification.

The role spends 90% on the production floor, developing positive relationships with new hires and teams, and coordinating with HR to align on processes and product specs. Strong attention to attendance and training documentation is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety policies and expectations are met by new hires.
  • Manage the overall onboarding experience from day 1 to 60 days or until qualification.
  • Administer, track, and evaluate new hire floor training: hours of training per week, qualification status, attendance, turnover, relationships, meetings.
  • Supervise and demonstrate hands-on training for new hires during training period and advise on training needs.
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers, leaders and clients.
  • Meet with supervisors, HR, and coordinators to review production processes and product specs.
  • Participate on HR and company committees.
  • Meet KPIs: 30- and 60-day retention, safety observations, JSA completions.

ONBOARDING SUPERVISOR

Pilgrim’s wantsYOUto join our Team as anOnboarding Supervisor! The salary for this position will be dependent on education and work experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned


  • Ensure all safety policies and expectations are being met by new hires

  • Manage the overall experience of new hires from day 1 to60 daysor when the new hire becomes qualified, whichever comes first

  • Administer, track, and evaluate all new hire floor training to include but not limitedto:hours of training per week, qualification status, attendance, turnover, fostering new hire/supervisor relationship, weekly meetings, other duties as assigned

  • Supervise anddemonstratehands on training fornew-hiresduring the training period and make recommendations to management and/or Human Resourcesregardingtraining needs,concernsand continued employment. Onboarding Coordinators spend 90% of their time on the production floor with the new hires

  • Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers,leadersand clients

  • Meet with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes and product specifications

  • Participate on HR & company committees

  • Fulfill these key performance indicators:30- and60-dayretention, minimum of 2 Safety Observations per week, JSA completions of all new hires, and others as assigned

  • Meet the following expectations: instill all Pilgrims’ values, no new hires moved, complete all training documents, ensure trainees are qualified timely, complete weekly meetings with new hires and supervisors, follow up with superintendent and training supervisor on any new hire issues, focus all attention and resources on new hires and their successful on boarding

  • Other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,and ABILITIES


  • High School Diploma/ GED;Associates Degreeor two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred but notrequired; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

  • Highly motivational and positive, considered a great people person

  • Previoustraining experience preferred

  • Knowledgeable in all duties of the specific department

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Professional communication and demeanor

  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to employees
