We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Onboarding Payroll Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee administrative tasks and support various departments, requiring excellent organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Client Payroll Onboarding:
    1. Evaluate client needs and recommend suitable payroll providers based on company size, location, and structure.
    2. Coordinate the implementation and setup of payroll accounts for new clients.
    3. Collaborate with benefits brokers to align employee benefits strategies with client goals and compliance requirements.
    4. Guide clients through setting up fringe benefits, stock options, and other compensation elements in payroll systems.
    5. Assist in net-to-gross and gross-to-net calculations for compensation structuring.
  2. Content & Documentation:
    1. Create clear, customized payroll onboarding documentation for clients.
    2. Develop and maintain internal SOPs related to payroll, onboarding, and benefits administration.
Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Payroll or HR certifications (e.g., FPC, CPP) are a plus but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in CPA firms, HR consulting, or multi-client environments.
  • Proven ability to set up payroll systems and benefits programs for small to mid-sized companies.
  • Knowledge of U.S. payroll compliance and experience working with brokers.
  • Experience with payroll platforms such as Gusto, ADP, Paychex, Rippling, or similar.
  • Experience creating SOPs, documentation, or client-facing materials related to payroll and onboarding.
  • Client-facing experience in fast-paced, service-oriented settings.
Skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple implementations.
  • Strong communication skills for guiding clients through technical payroll topics.
  • Deep understanding of payroll tax laws, compliance, and best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments (tax, HR, legal) for onboarding solutions.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with new systems and automation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), payroll software, and workflow tools.
  • Fluent in French.
