Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator/Trainer to support hourly production new hires for their first 60 days, integrating new team members with safety as a priority. The role blends HR and Operations responsibilities to ensure comprehensive onboarding and successful attainment of operational goals.

Key duties include hands-on training on the production floor, program administration, and collaboration with HR/Operations to tailor training needs. A High School Diploma or GED is requested.

Qualifications

  • Previous training experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others; bilingual is a plus.
  • Able to work in hot/cold areas, stand long periods, and perform all jobs in the area on the production floor.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional communication and demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate 90% of time to production floor presence with safety enforcement.
  • Demonstrate hands-on training techniques for onboarding during 45–60 days.
  • Administer, track, and evaluate the onboarding training program in compliance with guidelines.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations to ensure proper onboarding training.
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships among new hires, peers, and leaders.
  • Participate in HR and company committees.
  • All other duties as assigned.

ONBOARDING COORDINATOR/TRAINER

Position Summary

Onboarding Coordinators track and support hourly production new hires for the first 60 days of employment. This ensures a complete introduction to the facility and their new job which allows the new hire to successfully achieve operational goals. The Onboarding Coordinator is an extension of both HR and Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 90% production floor presences and Ensures that safety is a condition and is responsible for compliance and enforcement of all safety directives.
  • Demonstrate hands on training techniques for new hires during the onboarding period (45-60 days) and make recommendations to the Onboarding Supervisor about individual training needs, concerns, and special circumstances. Onboarding Coordinators spend their time on the production floor with the new hires.
  • Administer, track, and evaluate the Onboarding Training Program in accordance and compliance with the program guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations to ensure new hires have proper training for successful onboarding.
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships between new hires, peers, and leaders.
  • Participate in Human Resources and company committees.

All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous training experience.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others, Bilingual is a plus.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

High School Diploma/GED
