Job summary

NCLA Norwegian Cruise Line America seeks an experienced Refrigeration/HVAC assistant to maintain and service shipboard systems. You will support senior engineers, work on galley ventilation, and ensure safety and cleanliness aboard Pride of America.

Requirements include a minimum of three years in refrigeration/HVAC, STCW training, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in a multicultural crew onboard a cruise vessel. A weld certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years prior experience working as an assistant on refrigeration/HVAC equipment is required.
• Basic to Intermediate level English verbal and writing skills.
• Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment; must adjust to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and routine work under the direction of the Senior Refrigeration Engineer and 2nd Refrigeration Engineer.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of galley, laundry, and launderette exhaust ducts and ensure cleaning records.
• Perform maintenance of HVAC plant, provisioning plant and related cold rooms and galley equipment.
• Handle cabin issues through the ECR/Front Desk and inform supervisor if unresolved.
