Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to service two 25-ton portal cranes aboard the Shippingport (ARDM 4) at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton, CT. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of crane electrical systems.

The successful candidate should have substantial electrical/electronics experience, be able to read schematics, use test equipment (multimeter, megohmmeter, oscilloscope), and be willing to qualify in Crane Walker lifting & handling

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED or 2+ years of technical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the electrical or electronics field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair two 25 ton portal cranes aboard Shippingport (ARDM 4).
• Work aboard the floating dry dock at Naval Submarine Base Groton.
• Discuss equipment issues with crane engineer, crane supervisor, and vendors.
