Qualifications

• U.S. citizen.
• Must hold a current U.S. Coast Guard license for Chief Engineer, limited, 3000 HP or greater.
• Must possess and maintain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC).
• Must possess and maintain STCW certification from the US Coast Guard.
• Position may require rotating shifts and TDY as described in the job materials.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Assistant Engineer aboard a Corps of Engineers dredge.
• Stand watch and conduct routine inspections of engine spaces and dredge pump/steering gear areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on dredge equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Assist Chief Engineer with major repairs and troubleshooting.
