National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking an Employee in Charge to oversee on-track safety operations in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on coordinating safety for freight railroads, transit systems, and state DOTs while ensuring compliance.

You will set up safety tools, report incidents, and communicate with Dispatchers and crews. Travel is a significant part of the job, with 50% to 85% time on the move, requiring a strong field presence and dependable, detail‑driven work habits.

Qualifications

• Requires proficiency with tablets, smartphones and comms tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to travel extensively (months at a time).
• Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Provide On-Track Safety such as set up of derails, track signs, and other safety tools.
• Prepare daily field reports and report on any rule violations.
• Provide job-site coordination.
• Radio contact with Dispatchers and Train Crews to communicate worksite safety status.
• Conduct mandatory clear, concise, and thorough job briefings with all crew members before they enter the track.
• Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
