National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is hiring an Employee in Charge (EIC) in Modesto, CA to deliver essential on-track safety services for freight railroads, transit systems, and state DOTs.

The role requires mobility to travel and coordinate with multiple teams in a field setting. The EIC will set up safety tools, oversee daily field reporting, and maintain strict adherence to safety policies across federal, state, and company guidelines.

Formación

• Proficient with tablets, smartphones, and communication tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods; months at a time.

Responsabilidades

• Provide On-Track Safety: set up derails, track signs, and safety tools.
• Prepare daily field reports and report rule violations.
• Provide job-site coordination and safety status communication with Dispatchers and Train Crews.
• Conduct thorough job briefings with all crew members before track entry.
• Enforce Railroad, State, and Federal policies.
