National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) seeks an Employee in Charge to provide on-track safety services and oversee work on rights-of-way for rail operators and partners in Crescent City, CA. The role requires hands-on safety leadership and coordination of train movements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 2 years in a railroad environment, strong communication, and the ability to travel 50%–85%. Valid driver's license and completion of required training are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to travel for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Provide On-Track Safety such as setup of derails, track signs, and other safety tools
• Prepare daily field reports and report on any rule violations
• Provide job-site coordination.
• Radio contact with Dispatchers and Train Crews to communicate worksite safety status
• Conduct mandatory clear, concise, and thorough job briefings with all crew members before they enter the track.
• Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
