Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Operations Analyst to support daily warehouse operations at the PDC, collaborating with the 3PL to improve inventory accuracy, process compliance, and issue resolution. This hands-on role emphasizes on-floor observations, audits, and rapid containment of discrepancies.

You will conduct root-cause investigations across inbound, inventory, outbound, and quality issues; manage PO discrepancies with Procurement, Planning, and suppliers; monitor quality notifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience or knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and quality processes.
• Attention to detail with the ability to investigate discrepancies, validate inventory, and follow standard processes.
• Effective communication and organizational skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently on the warehouse floor in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause investigations for inbound, inventory, outbound, shipping, and quality issues.
• Perform warehouse audits to ensure process compliance and accuracy.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, receiving errors, and shortages.
• Manage PO discrepancies and coordinate resolution with procurement, planning, operations, and suppliers.
• Monitor quality notifications with the 3PL and support issue resolution.
• Maintain and monitor hold inventory and inventory dollar exposure.
• Oversee inventory disposition activities (scrap, quality hold, return).
• Manage packaging and operational supply inventories and replenishment.
• Support critical inbound receipts and customer-priority outbound shipments.
• Oversee SAP/WMS data syncing and shipment deletion transactions.
• Support escalations through investigation, containment, and resolution.
• Collaborate with warehouse leadership and 3PL to improve execution.
