Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to coach K-8 students in life skills, public speaking, and motivation. You’ll conduct one-hour workshops and then 1:1 or small-group sessions to drive weekly app goals using Coachbot analytics and incentive systems.

This is a full-time, on-site role at an Alpha campus. You will need a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with K-8 students, and the ability to work in person in the US with relocation support provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least 3 years working directly with K-8 students.
• Comfortable letting adaptive learning software deliver academic instruction while you coach motivation and life skills.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and giving and receiving feedback.
• Run daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions to push weekly app goals using Coachbot analytics and incentives.
• Administer the Test2Pass mastery assessment and re-coach until mastery is achieved.
• Adapt the workshop playbook and create new sessions for different ages; ensure material lands with both kinds of learners.
• Be the adult who holds the standard and also the trusted mentor students talk to.
