Job summary

Alpha School is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to coach K-8 students using AI-powered adaptive learning apps. You will run everyday life-skills workshops and daily motivation sessions, analyze Coachbot data, and push each student toward 100% weekly app goals while maintaining high personal standards.

The role is full-time and on-site at a campus, with relocation support for eligible campuses nationwide. Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years of direct K-8 experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least 3 years working directly with K-8 students: classroom teaching, tutoring, athletic coaching, camp leadership, or youth program work.
• Comfortable letting adaptive learning software deliver the academic instruction while you own motivation and life-skills coaching.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Relocation support provided to specified campuses.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts.
• Run daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions to reach weekly app goals using Coachbot analytics and Alpha incentives.
• Administer the Test2Pass mastery assessment for each life skill and re-coach as needed.
• Adapt the workshop playbook and create new sessions for different ages.
• Be the trusted adult who upholds high standards and supports student growth.
