Job summary

United Support Services, Inc. invites applications for a Wood Worker to join our Warehouse team at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Lemoore, CA.

The role reports to the Project Manager and focuses on constructing crates, pallets, and storage solutions from wood and substitutes to support aircraft readiness. Candidates must have at least five years of specialized wood working experience and be able to obtain a DOD CAC card for access to secure flight line workspaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years specialized wood working experience.
• Ability to become proficient using the automated logistics information system (ALIS).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S.).
• DOD CAC card privileges to access flight line workspaces and critical information systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper material management services to keep aircraft mission ready.
• Construct and repair crates, pallets, storage bins from wood or substitutes.
• Fasten or install parts using hammer, nailing machine, or power staple; replace damaged parts.
• Build crates and woodwork on vehicles; apply preservatives to prolong wood life.
• Perform other warehouse duties to support the F-35 warehouse operation.
• Duties as assigned by Program Manager/Site Manager.
