Job summary

Hyundai AutoEver America seeks a Windows System Administrator I to support a manufacturing tech environment, including servers, MES, backups, patching, and daily monitoring. The role requires strong Windows skills, basic Linux, and customer-focused technical support.

You will work with internal teams, senior staff, and vendors to minimize downtime and ensure MES availability, with on-site duties in West Point, GA. 3–5 years’ IT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of IT experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments.
• Basic Linux administration knowledge.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of backup concepts and patch management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to support internal users professionally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
• Perform routine server administration and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor server health, performance, and availability.
• Assist with OS updates, upgrades, and system maintenance.
• Maintain server documentation and inventory records.
• Support Active Directory user and group administration.
• Assist with DNS, DHCP, and general infrastructure support.
• Provide first-line infrastructure support for MES.
• Monitor MES-related servers, services, and system availability.
• Assist with MES troubleshooting, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Escalate production-impacting issues to senior staff or vendors.
• Support MES maintenance activities, testing, and production support.
• Participate in efforts to minimize production downtime and maintain continuous operations.
• Monitor daily backup jobs and investigate backup failures.
• Verify backup completion, job status, and system health.
• Maintain backup documentation and procedures.
• Deploy and monitor patching activities for desktops and servers.
• Verify security updates are installed and document changes.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and patch processes.
• Document patching activities and related changes.
• Perform daily infrastructure monitoring and respond to alerts.
• Troubleshoot server, workstation, and application issues.
• Document incidents and resolutions, and escalate when needed.
• Provide timely resolution and maintain operational records.
