Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Welder in Quakertown, PA to maintain and repair shoring and shielding equipment, weld to engineering specs, inspect and prep rental gear for safe operation, and travel to customer sites as needed.

You'll work in a safety-driven team, perform welds (Arc/MIG/TIG), fabricate at the shop, and complete work orders while keeping a clean work environment. The role offers growth into higher service roles and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding school certification required.
• 1–2 years' Arc, MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Knowledge of metals used in shoring/shielding equipment.
• Ability to read welding specs and select proper electrodes/wires.
• OSHA safety awareness and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Layout and apply welds per engineering specs.
• Inspect, repair and paint rental equipment so it is ready and safe.
• Perform non-structural repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Provide active welding support at job sites.
• Fabricate projects in the facility as needed.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required.
• Complete work orders and maintain parts inventory.
• Keep a clean, safe working environment.
