Job summary

Atlantic Health Strategies in the greater Atlanta area is seeking a compassionate Primary Therapist to deliver individual and group therapy in a structured, on-site setting. The role emphasizes trauma-informed approaches and dual-diagnosis care, with a path toward full licensure.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree and be actively pursuing licensure in Georgia; veteran or military-connected experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field.
• Active registration or associate licensure in Georgia and working toward full licensure.
• Experience with veterans or military-connected individuals in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy using trauma-informed approaches (CBT, DBT, EMDR).
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and consultations.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Coordinate with internal and external providers to support continuity of care.
• Engage in clinical supervision as part of licensure progression.
• Support dual-diagnosis treatment for mental health and substance use.
• Uphold Georgia licensing requirements and program standards.
