Job summary

First Western Bank & Trust in Minot, ND is seeking a Trust Operations Assistant to support the Vice President of Trust Operations. This full-time, on-site role handles daily trust operations tasks, records, and client service to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will perform data entry for dividends, interest, transactions, wire transfers, and reports; manage access to Infovisa Client Portal; balance at day end; and support custodial relationships with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business or finance preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in banking, benefit processing or office administration.
• Knowledge of retirement plan regulations and terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of investments and accounting principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls for the Trust Department and route appropriately.
• Daily entry of dividends and interest, asset maturities, asset purchases/sales, contributions and distributions.
• Daily entry of non-401(k) mutual fund sales and purchases.
• Complete wire transfers and daily ACH transactions.
• Generate daily reports.
• Prepare beneficiary and expense checks.
• Prepare monthly rental and plan loan reports.
• Establish customer access to Infovisa Client Portal.
• End of day balancing.
• Intermediate custodial safekeeping relationship as well as income collection, purchases and sales.
• Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations and the Bank’s policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act.
• Maintain continuing education related to regulatory standards.
