Job summary

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician to perform on-site trailer inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations in the Massachusetts region. The role emphasizes independent work in a fast-paced mobile service environment with a focus on DOT compliance and safety.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with trailer systems, welding, electrical systems, and brake repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, or Fleet Maintenance Technician.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of trailer systems and components.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, brake systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile/on-site service role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
• CDL or DOT experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mobile service calls and perform on-site trailer repairs.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural trailer issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and DOT-related repairs.
• Repair and replace components including brake and suspension systems, electrical wiring and lighting, frames and structural components.
• Welding and fabrication as required.
• Complete and document work orders and service reports.
• Monitor and manage parts inventory on service vehicles.
• Ensure all trailers meet safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices.
