Job summary
Utility Trailer Interstate in Henderson, CO seeks a full-time Trailer Mechanic. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair semi-trailers and refrigerated units, performing DOT inspections and preventive maintenance while documenting work and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications
- Strong trailer maintenance skills, including routine service and component replacement.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and DOT-compliant inspections.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of trailer systems (brakes, suspension, lighting, structural components).
- Hands-on experience with Heavy Equipment and commercial trailers.
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools, shop equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to interpret work orders, technical manuals, and diagrams.
- Capability to lift and move heavy components and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
- Previous experience as a trailer, truck, or diesel mechanic preferred.
- Technical/vocational training in mechanics is a plus.

- Inspect trailers and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform brake, suspension, and electrical repairs.
- Complete DOT and preventive maintenance inspections.
- Document work performed and follow safety and quality standards.
