Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to support Georgia DOT District 5 in Jesup, on-site. The role emphasizes project design, technical leadership on conventional projects, and collaboration with clients and PMs.

You'll develop scope and budgets, write specifications, review drawings, and monitor field progress. A Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience are required; PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering program.
• Minimum 6 years of engineering experience.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as, assisting in project design.
• Supports PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects.
• Designs experiments, interprets, and develops conclusions on complex data.
• Writes and reviews engineer specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables.
• Designs a component, or process on a complex projects or designs complete a project, systems, or components on conventional projects.
• Responsible for completing a subset of project documents.
• Participate in client meetings, as appropriate.
• Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of project.
• Performs other duties as requested.
