Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a semi-skilled worker for our Henderson mine and mill in Colorado to operate material handling systems and support safe production in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, operating conveyors and processing equipment, monitoring systems, and reporting maintenance needs. English literacy and willingness to work shifting hours in a 24/7 operation are essential.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in the trade.
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform area housekeeping tasks such as shoveling and power washing.
• Operate processing equipment per operating guidelines.
• Control and monitor conveyors, transfer chutes, and flotation/grind mills.
• Operate mobile equipment and input data into computers.
• Identify and report machinery maintenance needs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
