Job summary

Weekday 1 is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join the Information Systems team in Nebraska. You will own a broad range of IT responsibilities across infrastructure, virtualization, security, and end-user support for a global manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of progressive IT experience, strong Windows/Active Directory skills, and hands-on VMware expertise. This on-site role offers growth into future leadership as the IT function matures.

Qualifications

8–10 years progressive IT experience required.
Hands-on systems administration experience in a Windows environment.
Experience with VMware and server virtualization.
Strong troubleshooting and end-user support capabilities.

Responsibilities

Administer and support Windows-based servers, workstations, and IT infrastructure.
Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows and Active Directory environments.
Support VMware and server virtualization platforms.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and end-user issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, access, and system configurations.
Support networking infrastructure, including switches and connectivity.
Assist with backup, recovery, security, and continuity initiatives.
Monitor system performance and overall infrastructure health.
Provide responsive technical support to users across the organization.
Document systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Collaborate with IT leaders on infrastructure initiatives.
