Job summary

PingWind is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our customer in the Chicago, IL area. This on-site role allows occasional telework but requires readiness to be onsite when needed.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in technology or related field and 3+ years of systems administration experience, with SME proficiency in Linux servers (RedHat/CentOS) and Windows 2016, virtualization, patching, SSL certificates, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator in government or large enterprise environments.
• SME proficiency with Linux servers and experience managing RedHat, CentOS, and Windows 2016.
• Strong knowledge of server virtualization, patching, vulnerability management and SSL certificates.

Responsibilities

• Support for existing servers, including installation, configuration, and optimization.
• Design and implement new servers as required.
• Manage a server environment with RedHat Linux, CentOS, and Windows 2016.
• Perform updates, upgrades, and patching in compliance with VA standards.
• Review vulnerability reports and security scans; ensure timely remediation.
• Maintain and renew SSL certificates for preproduction and production environments.
