Job summary

Infinitesima in Abingdon, UK, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end materials flow across global operations. This hands-on role blends strategic planning with operational delivery to ensure materials availability, supplier performance and on-time shipments.

You will work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Stores and Finance to maintain forecasts, manage risks and drive improvements in efficiency and cost.

Qualifications

• At least five years in supply chain, procurement, materials management or logistics in engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, production planning, inventory control and purchasing processes.
• Experience using ERP or MRP systems to manage material demand and supply.
• Proven supplier management and commercial negotiation experience.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international logistics activities.
• Strong analytical skills to inform decisions and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own Supply Chain Planning & Material Availability to ensure production and project teams have needed materials.
• Review MRP outputs, supplier schedules, material shortages and inventory levels.
• Identify supply risks and implement recovery plans before they impact operations.
• Maintain forecasts, material plans and delivery schedules.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on risks, constraints and supply status.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to measure supply chain performance and drive improvement.
• Build relationships with suppliers; negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead regular business reviews.
• Lead supplier escalations and corrective actions; support audits and improvement initiatives.
• Develop alternative sourcing strategies to reduce risk and improve resilience.
• Work with Quality and Engineering to resolve supplier-related issues.
• Manage inventory levels, reorder points and ERP/MRP data accuracy.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments and ensure compliance.
• Monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues; balance service levels and costs.
