Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an on-site Purchasing/Materials professional to support our manufacturing facility. You will place purchase orders, manage supplier relationships, and monitor inventory to keep production on track while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes SAP-based workflows, expediting, and problem-solving to minimize disruptions. A 1–3 year background in purchasing or production planning and a related degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field.
• 1-3 years' experience in purchasing or production planning.
• Experience expediting and issuing purchase orders.
• Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
• Coursework toward CPM/CPIM preferred.
• Full knowledge and application of purchasing/materials principles.
• Proficiency in Windows, Teams, and Office.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for manufacturing needs.
• Manage supplier relationships to optimize supply chain.
• Monitor inventory levels to support production goals.
• Issue material purchase orders and resolve potential supply problems.
• Maintain SAP workflow and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Evaluate stocking levels and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in supplier audits/business reviews.
• Maintain purchasing files and process RTVs for non-conforming materials.
