Job summary

TrueNorth Companies, L.C is seeking Insurance Interns for an 11-week rotation program in Cedar Rapids, IA. The internship runs May 17–July 30, 2027 and is fully on site with housing provided for summer housing needs.

The program offers exposure to risk management, transportation, and employee benefits, with opportunities to attend client visits, draft reports, and market renewals, all while earning as part of a paid internship.

Qualifications

• Current Freshman or Sophomore status.
• Pursuing studies in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Genuine interest in the insurance industry and proactive ownership mindset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to risk analysis and contribute to risk strategy development for actual clients.
• Shadow divisions to gain a well-rounded perspective on client service.
• Assist with marketing efforts for new and renewal business.
• Sit in on client meetings to gain experience with client-facing benefits administration and risk management.
