Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking a Staff Accountant for a growing agricultural organization in Howe, IN on-site. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in general accounting, AP/AR, budgeting, and financial reporting to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.

The ideal candidate has 0–5 years of accounting or related experience, an associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and fluency with Excel.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Exposure to QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and post journal entries.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance, reconciliations and month-end closes.
• Process AP/AR transactions, verify invoices and coding, and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting.
• Support year-end audit preparation and reporting requirements.
