Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with a Dakota County, MN school district to hire a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site, full-time role supports SLPs and works with students to meet communication goals.

The ideal candidate holds Minnesota SLPA licensure, has experience in school settings, and can document progress while organizing therapy materials and activities. Collaboration with educators, families, and students is essential.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification as an SLPA (or equivalent) in Minnesota.
• Strong organizational skills for managing therapy materials and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of speech and language therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Assist in working with students individually or in groups to meet communication goals.
• Help collect and document data on student progress during therapy.
• Prepare and organize therapy materials, activities, and equipment.
• Support students in using AAC devices as directed by the supervising SLP.
