Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Illinois licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist or eligible for licensure.
• CCC-SLP certification required through ASHA.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide examinations, evaluations, therapy diagnosis, interventions, and prognosis per hospital policies.
• Lead program development and serve as a department resource for diagnostic groups.
• Cross-cover multiple service areas efficiently and participate in QA and research.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on disease processes, equipment use, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Engage in staff development, performance appraisals, and annual professional development activities.
• Perform and coordinate Modified Barium Swallow studies with Radiology when required.
