Job summary

OC Solar in Irvine, CA is seeking a dependable Solar Installer to join our field installation team. The role installs residential and commercial photovoltaic systems under the direction of a Foreman, following plans, safety procedures, and company standards.

This hands-on position involves roof work, ladder use, outdoor conditions, and travel to customer properties. The installer takes ownership of workmanship, protects customer property, and works well as part of a field crew.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of solar installation, roofing, or construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow project plans and instructions.
• Must follow detailed safety procedures and direction from Foreman or Lead.
• Able to travel to project sites and work on ladders at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install solar modules, racking, attachments, flashing, grounding and bonding components per plans and standards.
• Lay out array locations, roof penetrations, and module placement.
• Bend and install conduit, route conductors and components as trained.
• Flash and weatherproof roof penetrations to prevent water intrusion.
• Maintain an organized, professional jobsite and protect customer property.
• Complete project photographs and documentation using Site Capture or designated apps.
