Job summary

CACI - Advanced Communications is seeking Software Test Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 who are passionate about solving mission-critical challenges. You will work on TestExec®, our Automated Testing Framework, to automate data collection, analysis, and test procedures.

This position is fully on-site. Responsibilities include designing tests for ground and space systems, using test equipment, and automating tests with Python.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM degree.
• 1+ semester of experience with object oriented development.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• 0-1+ years of experience in a lab environment.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Experience with version control tools such as GitLab.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design tests for ground and/or space communication systems individually or in groups.
• Work with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
• Conduct automated and manual testing of applications controlling hardware and peripheral equipment; support existing software products.
• Automate test procedures using Python scripting.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to implement tests and validate results.
• Support Test Planning by mapping requirements to Test Procedures for Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Develop automated scripts within complex systems.
