Job summary

Ski Butlers, part of the Alterra Mountain Company family, is hiring an In-House Team Lead for the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley operation in Park City, Utah. This on-site, seasonal role oversees the ski rental and valet team, coordinates guest services with hotel staff, and ensures smooth shift transitions.

Shifts include mornings and evenings during the winter season, with weekend/holiday work expected. Earn $21.50/hour base plus tips, with comprehensive seasonal benefits and plenty of room to grow

Qualifications

• This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, teamwork, and warm, personalized service in every interaction.
• Expect weekend and holiday work. Daily operations broken into morning and evening shifts. No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the ski rental and valet operation each day, ensuring guest-facing areas and back of house spaces are organized, clean, and ready for service.
• Lead pre- and post-shift team meetings, clearly communicating priorities, individual assignments, and expected outcomes.
• Serve as the shift manager and coordinate the flow of rental fittings, ski valet services, equipment staging and retrieval, guest boot assistance, swaps, and returns.
• Assign and reposition team members based on real-time guest demand, hotel activity, and priorities while supporting efficient labor usage.
• Work closely with hotel departments (concierge, bell, front drive, transportation) to coordinate guest requests and provide a seamless experience.
• Respond promptly to guest requests via in-person contact, phone, text, email, radios, and hotel staff.
• Resolve guest concerns and escalate as needed to the appropriate manager.
• Ensure Ski Butlers and hotel standards are maintained throughout the shift (uniforms, equipment, cleanliness, organization, conduct).
• Complete thorough shift handoffs documenting unresolved concerns, missing/damaged equipment, upcoming requests, staffing needs.
• Assist guests with ski and snowboard rentals, including fitting and exchanges according to training and safety procedures.
• Anticipate guests’ needs before and after time on the mountain, including boot assistance.
• Support ski valet operations by staging, retrieving, storing, and organizing equipment during peak periods.
• Take reservations and process payments/refunds within the lead’s authority.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and stock, and general operational readiness.
