Job summary

Matrix Research is seeking a Mid-level Sensor Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Systems Engineer for on-site work at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. The role focuses on high-fidelity mission and sensor modeling, MBSE alignment, and digital engineering workflows within advanced weapon system simulations.

The candidate will develop, validate, and document sensor-level models, perform trade studies, and deliver data-driven insights for government and industry partners, using frameworks like

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Experience in high-fidelity mission and sensor modeling, digital engineering methods, and advanced simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and document mission and sensor-level simulations.
• Apply standard simulation frameworks and modeling methodologies to assess requirements and perform trade studies.
• Develop mission/sensor models, validate outputs, and deliver data-driven insights for government and industry partners.
• Integrate digital engineering workflows and MBSE alignment into projects.
