Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Software Developer for the Client Interface Group. You’ll work in an Agile team to deliver distributed software solutions that support Schwab’s order management and trading capabilities.

You’ll focus on NGOMS Rest Services, OAuth, and related components, collaborating with tech, product, and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable client experiences. The role emphasizes full‑stack development, Java/Spring Boot, RESTful services, and a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Java design and programming.
• 3+ years of experience building or consuming RESTful services.
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot and enterprise application development.
• Experience with database development and troubleshooting.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams and participating in refinement, planning, development, and production support activities.
• Experience with UNIX / Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop full‑stack web solutions supporting Schwab’s order management and trading platforms.
• Collaborate with product owners, technology partners, and operations teams to understand business needs and deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to design, development, testing, and implementation of cross‑functional application systems.
• Build and support Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and database solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, secure coding practices, and adherence to team standards.
• Support application performance, resiliency, monitoring, and troubleshooting for high‑throughput enterprise systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to refinement, estimation, solutioning, and delivery planning.
• Apply Schwab security protocols and authorization frameworks (OAuth 2, SAML, JWT).
• Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, and continually improve technical capabilities.
