Newly Weds Foods in Broadview, IL is seeking a Sr. Scientist to lead formulation development from concept to commercialization. You will collaborate with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative liquid food and beverage solutions, while ensuring quality, safety, and shelf-life objectives.

The role requires 6+ years of R&D experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and hands-on plant trial leadership. Travel up to 30% is expected, with most work local. On-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on R&D experience in liquid foods/beverage development preferred.
• Proven experience scaling products from bench to full manufacturing, including plant trial leadership.
• Direct experience interfacing with customers in a technical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation development from concept through commercialization with safety and shelf-life objectives.
• Scale formulations from bench to plant, leading plant trials and process validation.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
• Interface with customers to translate needs into development strategies and solutions.
• Coach and mentor junior scientists to support team development.
