Job summary

Newly Weds Foods seeks a Chef II to lead culinary development on-site at our Chicago campus. You will transform concepts into scalable, manufacturable products for top food brands, executing development activities independently while aligning with customer needs.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing and R&D, translate ideas for commercialization, and ensure documentation accuracy while upholding food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in culinary or food product development.
• Understanding of ingredient functionality and recipe scaling.
• Exposure to food manufacturing or commercialization processes preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with formula documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Culinary Execution & Development: Develop and execute culinary concepts aligned with customer needs.
• Product Development: Contribute to ideation and translate culinary concepts into viable components for commercialization; maintain documentation and formula accuracy.
• Customer Support: Participate in customer meetings and product presentations; support engagements and training.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Marketing and R&D teams; support project timelines.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain food safety, sanitation and organization standards at NWF and customer facilities; support kitchen operations and inventory.
