Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as the on-site Gilbane manager responsible for overall direction, completion, and financial outcomes of large or complex construction projects. You will sit primarily on the job site with occasional travel to the office for trainings and meetings, in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10–12+ years of lead project management experience in construction.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project safety plan with corporate safety and site leadership.
• Create project controls and procedures to manage complex requirements and mitigate high-risk items.
• Manage forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements and address deviations.
• Develop and manage a project quality plan aligned with contract documents and execution.
• Lead the project closeout plan and ensure timely execution per contract.
• Provide leadership to motivate the team and supervise project staff and engineers.
• Develop subcontracting strategy and scopes to protect buyout integrity.
• Enforce contracts, lead risk mitigation, and prepare purchase orders & contracts.
• Oversee insurance/bond enrollment and compliance for trade contractors.
• Lead project estimating and coordinate with estimating team to meet obligations.
• Lead constructability reviews and coordination across stakeholders.
• Create CPM schedule for large/complex projects and anticipate schedule risks.
• Develop local market awareness and network strategy for opportunities.
• Collaborate with business development to align sales strategies and client deliverables.
