Securitas USA is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time role in Olathe, KS. The officer will monitor premises, control access, patrol various sites, and report safety issues. The position emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and professional conduct.

Typical duties include responding to emergencies, conducting site tours, and following post orders with rapid, evaluated judgment. A HS diploma, tech comfort, and prior security or related experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce regulations for client sites.
• Maintain access control and patrol diverse locations.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out tasks and duties as required for assigned site.
