Job summary

Securitas USA is hiring a Security Officer to protect client sites in the Olathe area. This full-time role emphasizes vigilance, customer service, and compliance with post orders during patrols and access control shifts.

You will respond to incidents, document observations, and collaborate with clients and teammates to maintain a safe environment. Prior security or military experience is a plus; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
