Job summary

BOT Career Opportunities seeks a Security Specialist to assist the Security Officer in maintaining regulatory compliance, training staff on security policies, and ensuring physical and financial security for the bank, employees, and customers.

The role requires on-site work, a high school diploma, and preferred banking/security experience. The candidate will interact with all levels of staff, assist in investigations, and support security systems and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of banking and/or security experience preferred.
• On-site work required; this is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Security Officer in daily administration and requirements of the Security Department.
• Assist the Sr. Information Security Officer in monitoring and responding to cybersecurity threats.
• Process garnishments and levies and other fraud-related efforts (e.g., restitution, cash items, fraud repayments).
• Complete investigations, documentation, and reporting of fraud incidents.
• Work with the bank's legal counsel on summons, subpoenas, and other information requests.
• Provide security training for new and current employees as needed.
• Update and maintain current security systems (access control, cameras, alarms) and assist with new implementations.
• Maintain relationships with security vendors and upload vendor invoices for approval and payment.
• Review Verafin fraud alerts daily and determine whether a case should be created.
