Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable pharmacist to join our Leesport, PA team on a second shift basis. The role focuses on safe medication dispensing, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance in an on-site setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a PharmD or equivalent, maintain an active PA license, and have experience with compounding infused drugs and home-care pharmacotherapy. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted PA pharmacist license.
• PharmD or equivalent degree.
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.
• Proven record of evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Shift requirements: 2nd Shift: Flexible hours Monday-Friday; shift diff offered.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensuring that the supply of medicines is within the law.
• Ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable.
• Maintain confidential records of all patients and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients about medicines, including dosing, reactions, and interactions.
• Provide counseling on prescription and non-prescription medications.
• Provide services such as smoking cessation, BP measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
