Job summary

Highland Consulting Group is seeking a Safety Manager for a large contractor in the Franklin, OH area. This permanent role focuses on implementing and overseeing safety programs on local projects with no travel.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in safety, certifications such as OSHA 510, CHST, ASP, CSP, or USACE EM385, and proven ability to train staff and coordinate with clients to meet safety objectives.

Qualifications

3+ years experience as a Safety Manager
Board Certified Safety Professional - CHST
1 year experience on major construction projects
Familiarity with applicable regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to train staff and subcontractors
Ability to establish timelines
Career stability and proven track record in safety management

Responsibilities

Create / Edit safety plans to fit the requirements of the project
Be on-site to implement the safety plan
Work with / train the on-site staff in safe construction practices
Work directly with the client to manage the safety program and meet their expectations
Prepare daily reports for management and the client
Oversee all safety concerns for all ongoing projects
