Job summary
Sheakley is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 1-2 year contract in Santa Maria, CA. You will oversee safety on roofing and conveyor installations at an existing Amazon facility. The Requirements include OSHA 500, 5+ years in construction safety, CPR/AED and First Aid, and MEWP/fall protection certifications.

Qualifications
- OSHA 500 Certification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications.
- Current Aerial Lift/MEWP Certifications are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fall protection requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily safety activities on roofing and conveyor installation.
- Maintain a visible field presence with contractors and supervision.
- Provide safety oversight for roofing and conveyor work.
- Monitor fall protection systems and elevated work.
- supervise aerial lift, scissor lift, and MEWP operations.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Review JHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.
- Monitor material handling and equipment installation activities.
- Ensure OSHA compliance and project safety requirements.
- Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
- Lead or support incident investigations and corrective actions.
