Job summary

Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is seeking an On-Site Safety Manager for Reno, NV. You will lead health and safety initiatives, enforce HASP, and work directly with the Senior Safety Manager to safeguard crews.

The role requires BCSP CSP or CHST/OHST with extensive construction safety experience, OSHA 500, and strong incident investigation skills, with driving and safety software proficiency as assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field required.
• BCSP CSP with at least 4 years of full-time relevant construction safety experience.
• BCSP ASP, GSP, or SMS with at least 6 years of full-time relevant experience.
• BCSP CHST or OHST with at least 8 years of full-time relevant experience.
• OSHA 500 course completed within the last 24 months.
• Proof of non-expired CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety execution and risk mitigation on site.
• Ensure HASP is implemented and enforced across projects.
• Provide site safety briefings for visitors and workers.
• Conduct daily safety briefings before work starts.
• Verify trained and qualified workers are on site.
• Perform field audits and inspections for OSHA/DOT compliance.
• Develop safety plans for high-risk crossings or environments.
• Oversee JSA process and traffic control protocols.
• Address health and safety issues promptly and conduct incident investigations.
