Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Site Safety and Health Manager for a 2-week engagement in Herndon, Virginia. The role focuses on leading on-site safety planning, implementing controls, and stopping work when hazards arise to protect workers and project integrity.

The SSHM will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote a proactive safety culture, perform inspections, and manage injuries and regulatory reporting as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and at least five years’ safety/health experience.
• Experience implementing site safety programs, conducting inspections, and managing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of OSHA/standards and practical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the site safety and health plan and related procedures.
• Interpret safety requirements and integrate them into project planning.
• Lead site inspections, audits, and incident investigations with corrective actions.
• Coordinate injury management, emergency response, and return-to-work activities.
• Prepare safety performance reports and communicate with leadership.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to monitor safety plans and address noncompliance.
