Job summary

CDM Smith's Transportation Construction, Engineering and Inspection team seeks an on-site Inspector to support inspections on multiple project locations nationwide. You will perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision, contributing to project success.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel 20–40%.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written English communication required.
• Basic arithmetic skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Review and accept or reject daily contractor reports and verify QC procedures and material testing per approved plans.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance to contract and measure quantities of materials.
• May perform sampling and in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt pavement.
