Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to support transportation construction projects across multiple locations. You will perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, and construction methods, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• 0 years of experience; equivalent additional related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency 20%–40%.

Responsibilities

• Inspect traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials.
• Review day-to-day contractor work and approve or reject daily reports and QC procedures.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance to contract; measure quantities placed.
• May perform sampling and/or in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete and asphalt pavement.
