Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support; additional certifications may be required by unit requirements

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards.
• Develops discharge and transfer plans and coordinates treatment plans.
• Participates in ongoing program evaluation, process improvement and client-centered outcomes.
• Addresses diverse patient needs across the continuum of care while upholding service standards.
