Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Full-Time, on-site Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to support multiple centers. You will oversee high-level nursing facility documentation for resident care, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement.

Ideal candidates hold RN licensure with 3+ years of clinical experience, including long-term care; BSN is preferred. This on-site role offers a collaborative environment with growth opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years full-time clinical experience; 2 years in long-term care nursing; management/administrative exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review resident charts, assessments and care plans to complete quality HNF documentation per state guidelines.
• Ensure forms are accurate, timely, and compliant with state/facility standards.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy, social services, and providers to gather information.
• Monitor condition changes and update documentation accordingly.
• Audit charts for missing or inconsistent information and follow up with staff.
• Educate staff on proper documentation practices for HNF requirements.
• Communicate acuity levels with Managed Care Organizations per state regulations.
