Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Rigger for Tonopah, Arizona. This role supports project sites with rigging tasks, load handling, and safety inspections.

The position offers hourly pay and per diem for eligible travelers, with a schedule of Monday–Friday (5/10s) and standard benefits. Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of rigging experience, English communication skills, basic math, and a NCCER Rigging or equivalent qualification.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of rigging industry experience.
• Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Reading and comprehension skills in English.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Proper documented qualification, i.e., NCCER Rigging or equivalent.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment inspections.
• Knowledge and ability to use proper ANSI hand signals to assist with movement and placement of loads.

Responsibilities

• Know the proper slings, hitches, and additional rigging equipment to use on each load.
• Apply proper rigging on loads.
• Give proper ANSI hand or voice signals/commands to Crane Operators.
• Assist Crane Operators with safely picking, moving, and placing loads throughout project duration.
• Perform proper pre-use inspections on all rigging equipment and knowing rejection criteria.
• Move work pieces, tools, and supplies manually by hand and/or truck (50 lbs. max per person).
• Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient and safe work environment.
